  1. Debian stable. Open link from external program.
With new version, when I open link from external program I see new browser window instead of new tab in already running browser. How can I fix this behavior?

    3. I deleted my QupZilla folder under AppData and that does allow me to get to the Extensions menu. However, I can only enable the Flash Cookie and Tab Manager extensions. The other give me an error. It appears that in the Program Files folder that the Flash Cookie and Tab Manager extensions have a more recent build date but the others have a build date from last December. I think the problem may be that the Windows installer is installing old builds of these extensions.

    4. I'm certain this is the case. I downloaded the portable version, copied the plugin folder over the version the Windows installer made in Program Files, and all is well now.

    5. A new QupZilla build has been provided, please re-download the installer.

  13. The browser is pretty good, but there are annoying problem with some gifs. I already submitted one of the gifs that effectively kills Quipzilla. There are some of them and the last I've got is that:

    http://i.imgur.com/jGQxsd5.gif

My system is Win 8-64. Those gifs work fine in IE, Google Chrome, Vivaldi, so, it's possible, the problem with engine or engine handling, since other browsers worked with other engines without any problems, so I have to switch to them to see pages with problematic for Quipzilla gifs.

    1. 1) You are probably affected by this qtwebkit-issue: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-44523
Updating your qt-framework to 5.4.2 will fix this
      2) Please try to change your user agent to
      Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/538.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) QupZilla/1.8.6 Safari/538.1
Be aware to upgrade your qt-framework first.

    2. Updating qt-framework to 5.4.2 is not a good idea from my point of viwe. I want to use debian stable and stable packages. Upgrading may create issues with other software.

  15. Would you please consider adding an extension like Noscript for Firefox or HTTP Switchboard for Chrome? I can live without HTTPS Everywhere, but those two are killer plug-ins that help secure the web for me.

  18. I can't find out how to update Qupzilla. I'm under Debian stable which will not see a new version in the repo for the next 2 years. Please add a section to your FAQ about the recommended update method. Deinstall repo version 1.6.6, install downloaded .deb? Why doesn't Qupzilla have an integrated update funtion via menu like Firefox has?
And thanks for a great piece of software while I'm here :-)

  21. I'd love it if there was a default option not to pop up the download manager when downloading files - it really gets in the way when you want to download a series of photos from Facebook, for example.

Qupzilla is excellent, by the way. Faster than most other browsers on most websites!
