Development updates on Qt web browser QupZilla
Since the upgrade from Qupzilla 1.6.x to 1.8.x I have not been able to access the Bookmarks menu. Clicking on "Bookmarks" causes Qupzilla to go to 100% CPU usage and stay there until I manually kill the process. Under previous version of Qupzilla, the Bookmarks menu opened instantly. All other aspects of Qupzilla 1.8.x are working for me. I can access speed-fial and I can type the name of a bookmark into the URL bar and it works, only accessing the Bookmarks menu causes the browser to lock up and use 100% CPU.Running Qupzilla 1.8.2On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (64-bit)Can reproduce: Every time on this machine. Have not tried to duplicate on other installs yet.Any thoughts on a fix or workaround?Thank you.
Can you please forward it to my email: email@example.com? Thanks
I have sent an e-mail outlining the issue with a copy of my latest bookmarks export/backup.
Hi, issue #3blogger, I am posting this - as the previous comment - using Opera and that's why.In Qupzilla I am logged in into my Google Account, but when I access your blog - or any other blogger blog - I am not logged it but when I click the log in button it brings me directly to the homepage of my blogger account because I am already logged in, if I turn back or reopen your blog I am still logged out, I have tried to post a comment and then clicking the publish and preview options hoping to be directed towards login but it doesn't work, the page reloads and what I have written is lost.
Test with QupZilla.
In order to add comments to blog.qupzilla.com you will have to set Preferences -> Privacy -> Cookies Manager -> Settings -> Filter 3rd Party cookies to "Always". Since this parameter is misleading it will be changed to "Allow 3rd Party Cookies" in the next version.
Thanks, now it works. Can you please be so nice to reply to the issues I reported in my previous post too?
Regarding 1:I was not able to reproduce this with QupZilla version 1.9.0 (135514379b), Qt version: 5.4.0, WebKit version: 538.1. If this is reproducible for you, then please open an issue (https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/issues) and follow the guidelines described on the Bug-Reports wiki page.Regarding 2:Would you please provide a direct link to the Game Pass Player for testing purposes? I am always on a web-page, where I will have to register.
I updated to 1.8.2 on openSUSE, and I can no longer use KWallet. The extension is installed, and 'Configuration Information' suggests that it's loaded, but the preferences dialog doesn't offer a kwallet option. Any idea what's going on?
Nevermind, it's all right. The update had disabled the kwallet extension.
Qupzilla 1.8.2 is great but greasemonkey extension doesn't always work. Whenever I activate greasemonkey then I restart the browser, the extension was back not activated. So I have to activate it again manually.. and some scripts like google direct and youtube auto hd & buffer doesn't work.. thanks
Are you talking about these scripts, please see the screenshot:http://i.imgur.com/e1VVDnB.png
Yeah... it's extension for qupzilla portable but you have alread answered it at your post below, thanks
Ok, it seems all the extension, including greasemonkey cannot work at all in qupzilla portable version because they always reset (not activated) at browser restart (except adblock which works flawlessly). But, when I download and install the windows installer version, all the extension works out of the box
This should already be fixed in the git-repo, please see https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/commit/bcc9f3f4316396a80d2f7dfbb901473d557415ff
Thanks Jon for info, where can I download the qupzilla portable fixed version?
@David: I assume, this fix will be included in the next QupZilla bugfix version 1.8.3. Correct?
Good news! QupZilla version 1.8.3, which will include this fix, will probably released today.
Ow.. great, thank you very much Jon and Qupzilla team..

Qupzilla crash when click on message in facebook bar..
Qupzilla crash when click on message in facebook bar..in windows 7 portable version
Please do the following:1 - Change the user agent to Mozilla/5.0 (Windows 7; rv:24.0) Gecko/20131101 Firefox/24.1.02 - Disable java script3 - Use the mobile version of Facebook [https://m.facebook.com/]
Future versions will solve this problem?
Unfortunately this is a QtWebkit issue, which will have to be fixed upstream. Please see https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/issues/1426.
Windows 7 portable version. If i set google as my home page qupzilla after restart doesn't goes to home page but always on duckgo
If i don't insert http:// before www.google.it then qupzilla open duckduckgo page
You will have to enter a valid URL as a homepage, which includes always "http://", in your example "http://www.google.it". In case, that you enter a non valid URL, QupZilla will open your entry in the default search engine. So, what you have described is intended behaviour.
Xubuntu 14.10, Qupzilla 1.8.2 from ppa. I have a one big problem: Qupzilla ignores my GTK2 theme, and looks very ugly. In Xubuntu 14.04 all Ok. What i can do? Screenshot, if you need: https://vk.com/doc215501705_335076687
Please try to start QupZilla as follows:linux:~>qupzilla --style=gtkHere you will find some further information:https://github.com/QupZilla/qupzilla/issues/1357
Is it possible to integrate the file manager with KDE? I can't see my network shortcuts if i use File > Save as...Also, the file manager is in english on my non-english system. Thanks for your work.
Please check Help -> Configuration Information and look for section "Build Configuration": Is KDE Integration "Disabled"?
KDE Integration: EnabledInstalled from this package: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/qupzilla/
Integration only works with KDE4 + Qt4 and KDE5 (KF5) + Qt5.
My fault. There is a qupzilla-qt4 package that works well. qupzilla package uses qt5 lib.
