  1. Thanks David, great news!

Does QZ still crash on WinXP with javascript enabled? Is it fixed now?

  2. Still it's not fixed, enough is enough, I give up. It's a darn shame, QZ used to be such a good browser...

  3. I'm using the latest dev version (on Xubuntu 13.04) and with JS enabled it crashes even on this page (I have to use Opera to post it). Please, fix JS asap. I wont to give up using QZ as it is the only suitable browser for my old machine. Thank you!

    1. Hi,
please make sure your distribution QtWebKit packages are build with --no-force-sse2 option. It fixes crashes for machines with old Athlon cpus (if that's your case)

  5. Thank You David good news, hopefully Qupzilla follow for more because it is a great browser. I have to say that it is the best browser that i liked after having passed by Chrome and other browsers.
Greetings to the entire group of Qupzilla.

  6. Hello!
    Thanks for nice browser!

How can I use 'Delete cookies on close' for a specific domain?

  7. OS X version still downloading as 1.4.3.
    Annoying.
Even more annoying is that QZ itself prompts me to update on every start and the download page doesn't give away that tiny bit of info about versioning _before_ clicking on that link!

    1. Then disable please the option to check for updates (it's disabled by default on Mac).
As I said, Mac builds are not from me, so I have no power to make sure they will be always up to date.

  9. What will now happen where QT Webkit will no longer be developed and instead they switch to Chromium?

You plan to use the new QT Project or stay with the old one?

    1. I don't know yet, it's still too soon. But I hope it will be possible to port QupZilla to QtWebEngine.

  13. I cannot import bookmarks from Mozilla. When I browse for %APPDATA%/Mozilla/, it says cannot find Roaming/Mozilla. Where can I find it?
Also, it takes a while to open it.
    Thanks

  15. Perhaps you would like to add the privacy respectful -and non US based- Startpage and Ixquick to your search engines list in the next version of QZ:

    https://startpage.com/
    https://ixquick.com/

    Regards.

  18. A very promising browser!
I like the right click options you have borrowed from Opera - former Opera user here.
One question: example, now I am on this blog, if I do a search in the search bar the results will be in this same tab, I have find no way to get them in a new tab - when I used Opera I used the search bar when I wanted them in the actual tab, and DuDuckGo Plus when I wanted them in a new tab, but that extension is not available for your browser, am I right?
    thanks

  19. Hello !
Good work and nice browser ;-)
But now google is working on Blink and webkit could become obsolete :-(
So what projects are planned for the future for Qupzilla ?

  20. Short FEEDBACK - my two cents:
I´ve tested qupzilla for a few hours - indeed very promising. But there are two annoying issues.

The password manager store passwords unencrypted in $yourprofile$/browsedata.db. Furthermore ervybody using my pc/acount can read my passowrd in the menu. Qupzilla need the ability to set a master-password.

The other issue is the import of firefox-bookmarks. The complete directory structure is destroyed. Would be a lot more easy to fix, if simple commands like copy, paste, cut are possilbe inside Qupzilla-Bookmarkmanagement.

  21. I second the request for Startpage support. In reality it is an anonimizer for Google searches, so I believe it should be the per default search engine. Also, as commented before, it is based in Europe, so it's a little -perhaps only a little, but it's better than nothing- more confidable than a northamerican site.

Also I'd like to requesta a feature: compatibility with Firefox extensions, when tecnically possible. Especially I'd like to have the Evernote web clipper (http://evernote.com/webclipper/) because is rather annoying to see interesting pages when navigating the net with qupzilla and having to open Firefox to load said page and save it to my evernote notes.

Regards, and thanks for your good work, :)

    1. Startpage is now supported in Git version, and is also available as one of default search engines.
About the Firefox addons, I am sorry but this technically nearly impossible.

    1. This is an issue for me as well. I presume html bookmarks file needs to be flat (no folders) but I have not tested this yet. Some specs for html import file would be helpful. Thanks for developing QupZilla.
